Wayne's Health

I just wanted to update everyone on Wayne's health. He had an "exam" and everything looked fine. That doesn't explain the pain but at least it gives us some peace. I was in panic mode for weeks thinking it was serious and Wayne was like "your going to feel like an idiot when nothings wrong". But I don't. I just feel relieved. They gave Wayne some good drugs for the "exam" and he was a comedian. He said some pretty funny things. Thanks to all of you for your support!!

The Pizza Party

Malie had her friend party on Monday. What do you do with 12 five and six year olds? You take them to 2 Fat Guys Pizza. They met at our house and decorated aprons. Averie did such a good job. Notice that she is smiling in this picture that is a miracle. Then we drove to the pizza place (thank goodness I bought a mini van).

They took the kids on a tour of the store. They showed them how they made the dough and how they bake it in a large stone oven.
They let each child have a ball of dough to practice making a pizza. They even let them throw it. The kids were so good. They had so much fun.
Then we ate pizza and opened presents. It was such and easy party. The best part is when its over you leave and all the mess stays there!!
This is a picture of all of the kidsand Gran. My neighbor Jaye had to work so her Mom(Gran) was nice enough to drive her van so we could get everyone there.

Happy Birthday Malie!!

Yes it's true Malie is 6. We had a family party for her on Sunday. Jerliee and Jace came down and had a BBQ with us. She is always begging me to cook so we got her and Easy Bake oven. We will probably regret it later but for now it is fun for her.

Averie had a hard time sitting back while she opened her presents. She wanted to help so bad and Malie was not about to let her. After their fight was over the rest of the day went well.

"Goin on a camping trip"

We have been talking all summer about going to the cabin and this weekend we finally did. We were going to go up on Friday morning but Wayne has been having some pains and we thought it was his appendix so we spent the day at the Cedar hospital running tests. It's not his appendix its his small and large intestines. (He is going to kill me for putting this on the blog by the way) He is having more test run so we are praying everything is fine. We finally went up Saturday morning. Maddux discovered this chair and he loved to sit in it but then he can't get out. That works out nice when I need him to stay put. We went over to Ron's families campsite to hang out and let the kids play. They were so nice to feed us and the kids had a blast. It rained and the kids were so dirty and tired by the time we got back to the cabin. Thank goodness for baby wipes. You would think they would sleep good being they were so tired. But when Wayne woke up at 6 he looked over to see why he was so crowded and noticed that we had to bed buddies, Averie and Maddux. He left and slept upstairs with Malie for a few hours. Thank goodness she sleeps good! The good part is he is now happy that I upgraded our queen bed at home for a king. When this happens at home he doesn't even notice.
Wayne took the girls for a ride Sunday morning. I was so happy to get a picture of him to put on the blog. He is even smiling. When they came back he was laughing because the girls sang High School Musical songs to him during the ride.
It is so green up there and the weather was in the 60's. I was cold but Wayne refused to wear a coat. He loved the weather. I guess when you work out in 110 degrees all week 60 degrees must feel good.
My parents came up Sunday to eat dinner with us. My Dad showed Wayne how he cooks on the dutch ovens. Now he want to put in a pit in our backyard so he can do it at home. While they were cooking it started to rain. I made the kids stay on the porch with me while the men did the cooking.
We had a great weekend as a family. We are going to try to go up again before our life ends when school starts.

Fun at Nana's

We stayed at Nana's after the 4th so the kids could play outside where its not so hot. Abby stayed to entertain Malie and Alisha came up with Mia to play for the day. I put the girls in swim lessons. Malie can jump off the diving board and Averie went underwater with her teacher and is learned how to blow bubbles in the water.
Maddux has decided that he doesn't want to be in the walker to eat he want to stand on the back of it and reach over the back to get to his food. Because that is way easier than doing it the right way. He hates to be confined. When he figures out how to get out of his car seat I am in trouble.

I had to make sure Maddux was in the shade. My poor redhead with blue eyes doesn't do so well in the sun. He still isn't walking and its making me crazy. But he is so cute !!

As you can tell Averie had a fun day. I am looking at all of my pictures for last week and I am wondering where Malie was. We had a fun week I know Malie was around I am really confused as to where she was when I remembered to take pictures for the blog. She is my one who loves to pose for pictures and Averie runs when she knows you want to take her picture. I promise to do better.

4th of July

On the 4th we did the regular stuff. Breakfast up town and the parade, go to the park, and fireworks at dark. The next day Heather, Randy and their kids came to my moms to do our own fireworks in the driveway. We learned later that this was illegal. Anyways Austin was in charge of lighting them. I can't believe we all lived through that night. The kids had a blast except for Averie.

Averie sat on Heathers lap. Every time one would go off she would cover her ears and flinch until it was over.

Girl Trip to San Diego

My Mom invited us to go to San Diego with her and Crystal. She was suppose to go with my Dad but he was so crazy at work that he couldn't go (lucky us). We made the long trip, and I mean LONG with the girls trapped in the van. It was worth it once we got to Crystal Pier. The girls loved hearing the water splash against the pier and seeing the waves. Averie thought she would fall through the cracks on the pier so she would tip toe across each board.
This is the first time the girls were able to play in the waves at the beach. Malie wanted to go swim and Averie loved to play in the sand. They both loved the feel of the water as the waves would come back and forth on their feet.

We stayed on the pier. We were in the second cottage from the end. You drive your car right down the pier. Their are cottages on both sides.

My little red heads started to get sunburned so we had to wear hats the second day at the beach.

Sea World

We went to Sea World Thursday night and Friday. The girls petted the dolphins, sting rays, and star fish. They Loved seeing the animals. Malie went on her first rollercoaster ride. We were both screaming the whole time.
Averies only request was to go see the horses. I thought her Dad will be so sad to see that and her Grandpa MacIntosh will be so happy.

Visiting aunt Crystal and uncle Shad

We stayed with Crystal and Shad in Murrieta on Sunday night. We swam in their pool and went to dinner.
After dinner we went to the pond below the restaurant and feed the ducks. I think the ducks were full because they were not that happy to see us. Notice all the left over bread. The girls still had fun.

Toms Farms

We stopped at Toms Farm on our way home. Averie was having an attitude (surprised? NO) she didn't want to be in any pictures.

They weren't running the train or tractor rides so the girls played on these machines. They are just wanting to be like their Dad and Grandpas.
I finally got Averie to take a picture. I had to promise Dip and Dots after so they both would smile. I think they were wishing I had left the camera at home by this point.
