Family Christmas

I have decided to do a slide show about our Christmas and the things we have been doing on our days off. I have really enjoyed being home with the kids but I am afraid that it is going to be really hard on all of us when we have to go back to our crazy life in a few days. We just got back from visiting our parents and the kids had a blast in the snow. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Santa and Gingerbread houses

Maddux on Santa's lap. He just wanted the orange and then he was done. By the time I got home he had eaten the rind off. I'm sure that tasted good.

Averie asked Santa for "High School Musical stuff" he said "Well okay. You are a little young for that but alright".

Malie wanted an American Girl doll named Mia. She looks like Malie with her red hair and freckles.

For family night last week we made gingerbread houses. Maddux and Wayne made their own gingerbread house or square I should say.

Malie and Averie did such a good job. They kept collapsing but finally we were able to keep them up.
I can't wait for Christmas!!!

Winter Fun

Yes this is the reason they cancelled school on Thursday. I know its not much but we don't have a snow plow and people here don't know how to drive in it so it really is scary.

When we came home from school on Wednesday this is how much we had. The kids were so excited to play in it. We don't own snow clothes so I felt bad with their mittens and tennis shoes on but what do you do. I made them hot chocolate when they came in to warm up.

Thursday afternoon I took this picture of the front of our house. We don't own a snow shovel so I had to clear the walks with Waynes square nose shovel. I was so afraid that my palm trees were going to be ruined but I think they will be alright.

We went to Parowan Friday night for the Stubbs Christmas party. Papa took the kids sledding on Saturday. When Malie came in she was frozen I introduced her to snow pants and snow boots and told her not to go out again unless she had them on. Wayne also showed them icicles on the house they were so amazed!! I was talking to my kids at school about them and they had no clue what I was even talking about. 1 kid out of 38 knew what they were because she moved down from Salt Lake.

What Happens When Dad Picks Up???

This is what happens!! Maddux was hungry when they got home and he gave him an Oreo cookie or two. I love the boogers too.

But boy does he look happy.

Yes it's true I turned 30. I told everyone that I wasn't' celebrating this year. I was staying in bed and not talking to anyone!! My Mom and Heather must of heard "come over and wake me up at 6:30 in the morning singing to me".

The best part is I had a head cold and took NyQuil before I went to bed so I am pretty sure I could have gotten a DUI.

They made me drive to Cracker Barrel and have breakfast looking like this. Heather was so mad because no one honked while we were driving.
