Wayne's First Kill!!

This is Wayne's first deer! He shot it Friday morning. He was so excited. He has been bow hunting all week and his brother and friend Justin both had one so he was getting a little frustrated. I told him we don't eat deer so he dropped it off to have it made into jerky. He is having the antlers fixed so they won't loose the velvet . He is threatening to hang them up in our bedroom. Nothing like a romantic night in the bedroom with antlers hanging on the wall!

This is Wayne with his brother Ron and his brother Jace. Wayne was alone when he shot it so he had to get back up to help him gut it and drag it out. He hurt his back on Thursday so he was a wounded hunter. I am so happy that he has one even if he does hang it on our wall!

First Grade! First Grade!

This is Malie on the first day of school. She is getting so big and her pretty red hair is getting so long. She begged for these black shoes with a small hill for school and I let her get them. She has been dying to wear them so she was so excited to put them on the first day. I told her they would hurt her feet and she should pack an extra pair. When she came in my room after school she sat down and took them off and said "These shoes are crapping me out. I learned my lesson. I am not going to wear them again unless it's church". I couldn't laugh because she gets mad so I was trying so hard to keep a straight face. I told her she should listen to me because I am smarter than she thinks.

He is getting so big!!

I don't know if it's because I know he is my last, my baby, but it kills me to see him grow up. I love every minute of it. Sometimes I wish he would cry at night so that I could put him in bed with us and cuddle him all night. I don't know if it's because Malie started First grade or because Averie is starting preschool but I suddenly realize that soon they will be teenagers! NO!!!!!!

Family fun at the new Rec center

We took the kids to the new rec center and it is so fun. These are some pictures of them in the toddler pool. On the other side they have a lazy river and a big waterslide. Malie went down it with Wayne and loved it. Maddux crawls around in the water because it's only a few inches deep. He is a little scary because he has no fear of the water.

They also have a big playground in the other pool with two smaller slides. They even have a splash pad outside. The kids would play there for hours if I could take it.

Where oh where are the MacIntosh's!!

I told you that once school starts my life ends and boy is that true. I finally had time to blog tonight and I came in to update us and I left my camera at school. Isn't that just great! I redid my classroom in cowboy stick people. If you go to teacher stores you know what I am talking about. It was so much work but I love it. It is so much brighter and fun. I had a tiki hut in my room that I keep all the dramatic play things in (dress up clothes, tool bench, and kitchen set) so I turned it into a barn. Wayne helped with that but he was not happy when he came to put the red wood around the outside of it and I had measured it wrong SORRY WAYNE! It still is cute and my Mom made all new curtains for all of my shelves to hide all of my teacher crap THANKS MOM! I have had 2 days with my new kids and Wayne has left for a week to go on the hunt so I will try to blog more and add pictures but I will be a single parent and trying to teach 39 five year olds what a line is and how you line up, how to push a chair in and what criss cross applesauce means. I know its a sad life but I love it!! Malie started the first grade and it is so strange for her to be gone all day. Last year we ate lunch together and she was in my afternoon class. I wanted to cry when I took her to her class the first day but I am a teacher and suppost to be the one calming the parents and children the first day not joining them. Averie starts preschool after Labor day and she can't wait as she says "I so big". MADDUX IS WALKING it only took 15 months. He still prefers crawling but at least he is interested in it now. Well if I get my crap together and can remember to get my camera I will add some new pictures SOON!
