Malie's Performance great!!! Friday crappy!!

Last night Malie had her first vocal performance at the Opera House. Which we were all so excited to see her perform. Averie was so sad that she didn't get to go on stage and Maddux was just a nightmare trying to keep him still is a joke. I knew this was coming for weeks and had planned to buy her a new dress to wear because she had out grown all of them. I remembered Thursday night at 8 that I hadn't!! It was to late to go and I knew their was no way it would fit in on Friday. It is extra crazy. My Mom was in town so I called her in a panic so she was out and found one for Malie. She brought it to me and after school I tried it on Malie before my meeting and it didn't fit. So I called her and she went back out and found one and left it at the store for Wayne to pick up after work so she didn't have to drive across town again. When I got home around 4:30 I made dinner (mac and cheese) and started laundry. While we were eating I went over Malies note to make sure I hadn't forgot anything and it said she needed to wear a black shirt and tan pants!!! WHAT!!! I started to panic because it was almost 5:30 and she needed to be their at 6:30. We got ready fast drove to Target. Malie and I ran in the store and found a pair she put them on in the back of the van. We made it and it was good but I was about to have a melt down by the time we got there. She loves to sing and we are so proud of her.

They have some pretty water falls so we attempted to take family pictures. When we got home I noticed Malies bow was in her hair the whole time so I guess we will have to attempt that again.
I was so worried about them falling in the water that I didn't even notice.

She is such a performer. I think this time she has found something that she likes. This and softball. I called my mom and told her I am sorry that I made her do all that work.
When we got home and got everyone to bed I looked at Wayne and said do you want bathrooms or sweep and mop. He was so mad at me! We were both exhausted but it hadn't been done for weeks! I hate spending the only 2 days I have with my kids cleaning and doing laundry. Instead I spent it going to High School Musical 3 which made them so happy. I wish I had a cleaning lady!! Well I am going to go start my new Nicholas Sparks book that has been sitting on the counter for weeks and I haven't had time to start it YEA!!

My BIG fear comes as something small!!

Last night Wayne found a baby scorpion in our garage. It was 10:30 so it was to late to call the pest guy. I was totally freaked out. I can handle the lizards who sometimes find their way into my house (door left open by my children). Malie isn' t afraid she just catches them and takes them outside. Scorpions however are a different story. It's like my fear of heights they totally freak me out. I was sure that one sting would kill me or my children so I called Warren (the pest guy) at 7:30 this morning and told him this was an emergency. I couldn't sleep last night and when I did I dreamed about them in my house. I know that baby had a mom and a dad and some siblings so I was convinced we were being taken over. I met him here on my lunch break and made him spray 20 gallons of pest control on the outside of my house and in my garage. Seriously 20 gallons!! You would think this would fix my fear but I am still a little freaked out. I have been researching them tonight and it turns out it wouldn't kill us just hurt really bad. They compared it to a Jelly Fish sting. I think I would prefer a Jelly fish sting to a Scorpion because I would have to be at the beach to get that not it the freaking desert!!

Terrible/Teriffic Tuesday

Well here it is. I was hoping she would be better but when she climbed in bed with us at 4 she was on fire. I got up at six and got ready called my mom to come watch the kids and headed to the school to get ready for a sub. I had already tried a few but no one could so far. I called my principal and she came to the school and started calling. As the morning went on I could tell that they were not going to get me a sub. My mom could only watch until 10 and I was starting to panic. I had put all this work into a sub plan and now their was no sub. I ran home to get my kids not knowing what to do. When I got back to the school a sub was in my room. He took my class for 1 hour then the principal would take it until lunch then he would come back and do the afternoon. I am a little worried to see how my class went. HOWEVER I was able to spend the day at home with my two little ones in my PJ's reading a magazine while Maddux played in the sandbox ( not that that's all at home moms do). I don't care what anyone says this at home mom thing is cake compared to my normal routine. If my kids weren't sick I would've ran errands while it was still light outside. I was able to vacuum during the day and not at 10 at night it was great! I finished my laundry and I won't have to sneak in my kids rooms tonight to put it away while they are asleep. I know your thinking all of this is crazy but trust me its not!

Madness Monday!!

I am having one of those crappy working mother days. Averie was running a fever all day Sunday(yes we are all surprised that she is sick). She woke up this morning still warm and not feeling good. My mom was staying at Heathers so I quickly called her to babysit (sorry about ruining your day). I had to get the kids ready fast and drive across town to get her. On the way back Averie threw up 3 times all over her and her car seat. Needless to say by the time I got to work late I felt like I was ready to go to bed and that I had already put in a full day. It was then that I realized that I had 2 sessions of Kindergarten to teach and I had some last minute things to quickly prepare for the day such as new seating arrangements for both classes. This really makes me appreciate those health days with my children and the mornings where everything goes well. I hope my next blog isn't Terrible Tuesday!
