During the party the kids had to go pick their pumpkins from my Mom's garden. Maddux thought the wagon was way cool. Me and Alisha thought it was so funny to see him with the orange pumpkins.

I...
I read Leslie's "I" list and thought I would do one of my own so here it is.
I wish I had a Dr. Pepper fountain at work.
I think a perfect evening is at home with my family. When Maddux lets me rock him to sleep like last night I am truly in heaven.
I wish my summers would last longer. Nothing beats sleeping in, watching your kids play all day while drinking a DP.
I wish St. George had the same summer temperature as Parowan.
I wish Averie slept better at night.
I wish when I woke up my back didn't hurt from sleeping with kids in the bed.
I wonder if they will ever realize all the work teachers put in and double our salaries.
I wish their was a phone in heaven so I could talk to my sister. I think of things I want to tell her and think I need to call her and tell her. Then I realize I can't. I never thought I would make it 6 years without her.
I wish I had a cleaning lady and a chef. Also a personal assistant would be nice. (I need to stop watching The Real Housewives of ...).
I wonder if pant designers are all short and that's why I can't find long pants. I cry every time I go shopping for pants it is so depressing.
I think that mini vans are the greatest car ever made. Seriously everyone should get one!!
I worry daily about my children becoming teenagers and their trials in life.
I wonder what Maddux will smell like as a teenager if he smells like sweat and dirt now.
I wish insurance would cover a boob job! Its from nursing that should count.
I wonder if I will ever fit into one day all that is required of me as a Mom and a teacher. Never going to happen!!
I am so thankful for a husband who helps me around the house and with my "Mom" jobs.
I am also thankful that he is able to put up with my attitude. I hope that has earned us a mansion in heaven because its a huge trial for him.
I can't deal with the fact that I am going to turn 30 this year. If I can't deal with that what will 40 be like.
I have the best parents in the world!!
I am so blessed to be so close with all of my sisters. I don't know what I would do without them or our sister trip every year.
This is fun to do a "I" list. Thanks Leslie for the idea!

Stock in Instacare?
Today I am wishing I could purchase stock in instacare. You may think this is weird but if you went there as much as we do you wouldn't. Like my Dad use to say "If I would've known I was going to have 5 girls I would've purchase stock in the tampon company". Well if I would've known I was going to have Averie I would've become a nurse. When she woke up this morning her ear was full of blood. That would be really crazy except Thursday night Malie was playing Doctor and shoved a Qtip down in her ear. When I heard her scream Malie tried to lie her way out of it but eventually confessed and I had to confiscate the Qtips. I put ear drops in to take the pain away and she never said anything after that so I thought it was over. Boy was I wrong!! When I took her in the doctor said that her ear drum had burst. She let me look at it and it was gross it had a hole and scabs (TMI I know). She is now on ear drops to help it heal and an antibiotic so it doesn't get infected. We have to go back in a few weeks to make sure that it's healed. What did we learn from this? HIDE THE QTIPS!
Copay $30
Prescriptions $32
Visit in a couple of weeks $30
Having 3 children PRICELESS!!

NO Maddux!!
Don't be fooled by his cute smile and happy personality. He is trouble! This is a picture of him today after school. He was playing in the garage while we got the cars cleaned out and everything in the house. He discovered the truck and went for a ride with Malie so now he loves it. He has also discovered that he can slide 1/2 way down his slide, stop himself and do a front flip the rest of the way down. The first time I thought it was an accident but then he laughed climbed up and did it again. Good thing its a small slide! Tonight I had him bathed and ready for bed, Averie was playing in the tub and Malie was finishing homework at the table. The doorbell rang so I was in the hall talking to my neighbor Jaye when Averie came out of the bathroom naked saying "Maddux is in the tub" I panicked thinking he was drowning. As you can tell by the next few pictures HE WASN'T. When I saw it I knew it was a blogging moment.

I always try to find something positive when something crazy happens with my children. I try to make it into a learning experience to make myself feel better, like we learned something from it.
I learned that the inventor of swim diapers is a genius because his diaper weighed 20 pounds when Wayne changed him and was swollen up like a balloon! Boys are so different than girls.

KIDS!!
I just wanted to share some of my weekend madness with you. I took the girls swimming and put some of the pictures on a slide show at the bottom of the blog and added some of our summer adventures as well. I attempted to clean and iron my clothes for work this week and this is what happened. Maddux has become obsessed with eating toothpaste! Every time I come down the hall I have to pick up a trail of toothbrushes and I find him like this (look at the picture) sucking on the toothpaste. I am aware that he shouldn't eat toothpaste but it is watermelon flavored so you can't blame him.
Malie and Averie were playing so nice together FINALLY so I didn't check on them in the playroom. This is what I found when I went in last night to clean because you couldn't see the floor it was so messy. When I finally dug out the kitchen set from under the blankets and pillows it was buried under I about died. When I asked Malie about it she just said "It's crayon Mom". Like that made it okay. I do have to give her credit she was able to spell Averies name and MacIntosh right.
I had to confiscate the black crayon and I am wondering if I need to start with the Santa Claus threats already.Thursday, September 4, 2008
Where's the Camera???
This is what Wayne said to me when we were at the parade on Monday. Yes I spent the weekend in Parowan with the family and forgot the camera. I am so bad and this blogging thing. I am glad my sisters had theirs!! Averie also started preschool Tuesday and I didn't take a picture of that either. Maybe it's not that I am bad at remembering that I want to blog everything maybe it's that I AM A BAD MOM!! Well you will have to get on their blog to see the fun. Sorry!
